W5KUB is not associated with hamvention in any way. This Broadcast is being brought to you by W5KUB and its sponsors.
Winners names will be submitted to the sponsor companies within approximately 1 week after our live event.

Prizes will be awarded to participants around the world that tune in to our web-broadcast on W5KUB.COM . They will be randomly selected by computer from the list of those logged into the chatroom. We will have prizes to give away each of the 5 days that we are involved in this event. Note: The Grand Prize is only available to persons in the United States or its possessions. Our live event starts Wednesday morning, May 12th at approx 1300 GMT (0800 Central time). There is no set time for a prize selection. The names will be randomly selected throughout each day. Please be informed that W5KUB.COM does not have the prizes and will only select the winners and will pass that winners name to the sponsors within approx 1 week after our broadcast. This means that you should not expect to get your prize until a couple weeks after the event.
Rules are:
Have fun, be friendly with others in the chatroom. Once a name as been selected and announced, you will have 5 minutes to state you are in the chat room and verify that you are really there. We will use the time stamp on the chat room to determine the 5 minutes. If you are not there to claim your prize, we will then select another name and will give the next person 5 minutes to claim and verify they are there. WA5KUB.COM will get your name and information and pass that to the sponsors. W5KUB is only responsible to pass the winning names to the sponsors. It is solely up to the sponsors to provide and ship the prizes. NOTE: you do not have to be present to win the Grand Prize. To be eligible for the Grand Prize you will need to register here.
W5KUB.COM has made an effort to try to collect information and pictures of the prizes. Please note that we could be wrong on selecting some pictures therefore it must be understood by the winner that there could be some errors in the pictures. The correct prize is identified by listed model number.

Heil Boomset The 1985 Navassa Island DX-pedition Team invited Bob Heil to design an ultra-lightweight headset, one with a boom mic that would really cut through the QRM. The BM-10 was the result of that project; over twenty years later, it has been improved. This new BM-10-6 has the new HC-6 element in it and has been in design and tested on the air for an additional two years to perfect it. (quantity to be given 1)
Heil Foot switch
The Heil FS-2 is a unique product specially designed for
controlling two devices simultaneously. A typical
application would be to key a transceiver with the BLACK
lead and an RF power amplifier with the RED lead. Because of
the design architecture, the micro-switch controlling the
RED lead keys up first as the foot switch is depressed, thus
the RED lead turns on before the BLACK lead thus insuring
that the amplifier is keyed first before drive is applied
from the transceiver that keys up last in the sequence.

80 Meter CW Transmitter Kit |
80 Meter CW Transmitter Kit This is a 1 watt transmitter. It has a VXO (varible crystal oscillator) for best stability. It allows you to tune the crystal over a small frequency range. A switch on the front panel allows you to select one of two crystals. One crystal is included in the kit. This kit has a built in transmit/receive switch allowing you to hook up your receiver and easily switch between transmit and receive. This unit works on 12-15 VDC. Kit does not include case. This Kit is being donated by Joe Eisenberg, K0NEB. Joe is the famous kit building expert and can be seen in many kit building forums at hamfests. This prize will be given locally to someone at hamvention. To enter, you will need to place your name and call on a form and insert it into the prize box at W5KUB fleamarket space. A time will be announced when the prize will be drawn and you must be present at drawing to claim the prize. |
