Prizes for the live W5KUB.COM webcast May 19-21, 2017

Rules please read

By participating in the prize giveaway you agree to the following:. Prize eligibility requires a user to be logged into the W5KUB.com chat room. User Name registration is not required for this event. Prize winners are selected by Hambot, a computerized random name selector program. When a winner's user name is chosen, the user will have approximately  one minute to claim their prize in the chat room. If not claimed within that time, time will be called, and another winner will be chosen.  The official time is that shown by hambot on the chat room.  Any prize announcements, or time left, on the video will not be used for the 1 minute timer. The video is not in sync with the chat room and could have upward to 45 seconds delay from the chat room. W5KUB will make the final decision regarding discrepancies. Multiple logins to the chat room by a single user are highly discouraged. If your name is called, you must answer with that exact name.  Variations of that name will not be accepted.  Example:  If the name W1XXX is called,  the exact name W1XXX must answer to win. If W1XXX has multiple logins, and answers with the login of W1XXX-Bob he will not win.  Everyone is asked to remain silent (don't chat) during the prize drawings. If you chat, you will probably be kicked from the room. Prizes offered for U.S. will be sent only to U.S. addresses.  Viewers will be notified when prize sessions are complete and chatting can resume. Prizes are offered by various dealers, donors, or businesses. W5KUB does not have the prizes. Prize donors are trusted to send the prize to the winner. In any case where a prize may not shipped, W5KUB has no responsibility. Prize donors will be notified within approximately one week after the event.  Both donors and winners will receive the email we send to the donors for the award of the prizes.

Prize winners are required to immediately send a private message to Kathy via our chat room. The message should include your name, call (if applicable), mailing address (no post office box), email address, and prize. Prize winners with USA call signs MUST provide a USA mailing address for prize delivery. If not the prize will be void and not issued. W5KUB does not have any of the prizes and the winner contact information will be provided to the prize donor for shipment and any further communication should be between the winner and the donor. W5KUB gives no guarantees to the prizes actually being shipped as it is out of our hands and we must rely on the vendors who donated the prize.  We have not had any issues with this since we have been giving out prizes.

In the case an incorrect picture or description was used, or any wording mistake in hambot or on the prize page,  the prize that the donor intended, will be the actual prize that is sent to the winner.

Some prize donors have eligibility restrictions which will be listed below with the prize. W5KUB.com makes every effort to list prizes accurately but mistakes happen. W5KUB.com will not be responsible for typos or incorrect prizes, model numbers, description, picture, shipping restrictions, etc. All prizes will be awarded as the donor (vendor or distributor) intended. W5KUB.com is not responsible for non-shipment of a prize.

This one prize (CAA500MarkII) is set aside for one of our supporters. All other prizes  below it are open to any viewer and do not require donation.

Our expense to put on this webcast for you cost approximately $3000-4000. Internet cost alone last year was $700 for the show.  In the past W5KUB.COM had been paying this expense out of personal funds. I am retired now and need your help with the expense of this webcast. We don't sell anything and we don't buy anything at Hamvention. In fact we miss being able to look around . When you are interviewing or behind the camera you don't see or having the experience of visiting it.   Our entire focus is putting on a good webcast for those that are unfortunate and can not make the event. We have set aside one special prize that will be awarded to one of our supporters.  For every $10.00 donation you make between April 1, 2017 and 11:59 PM Eastern time on May 20th, we will put your name in this special hat. The winner will be announced at approx. noon on Sunday May May 21.   Example: for $10 your name goes in the hat 1 time, for $20 name goes in twice, or for $1000 your name goes in 100 times..  Please use the donate button at top of menu or click here.

We really need your help and support.  Thank

Model 4935 - 4 & 9:1 Unun, 1-54 MHz, 5kW

Based on the success of our model 4932, this 5kW configuration is also perfect for matching both long and short length wire antennas for multiband use.  When used with the stated lengths shown in the table below, the 9:1 ratio will allow the internal tuner of most rigs to easily match remotely mounted single wire antennas.

For additional versatility, the 4:1 ratio will handle any random, non resonant length of wire which can then be matched using an ATU or many internal tuners.  Plus this ratio is commonly used to increase performance of 19, 31 and 43 foot multiband verticals.  Unfortunately, both ratios cannot be used simultaneously.

Winner will have a choice of this model or another model at the same price.
