tune in to our web-broadcast on W5KUB.COM . They will be randomly selected by
computer from the list of those logged into the chat room. Prizes will be given away each of the 5 days that we are involved in this event. Note:
The Grand Prize requires special registration (see link below the prize) and is only available to persons in the United States or its
possessions.
Our live event starts Wednesday morning, May 18th at approx 1300 GMT (0800
Central time). There is no set time for a prize selection but we have so many
prizes that we will have to award them every 30 minutes to one hour. The names will be randomly
selected throughout each day. Please be informed that
W5KUB.COM does not have the prizes and will only select the winners and
pass the winner names to the sponsors approximately one week after our broadcast. This
means that you should not expect to get your prize until a couple weeks after
the event.
Rules
We will have over 1,500 users in the chat room; therefore, it is hard
to verify if you are in the chat room in case a prize is called. We recommend that your
username be your call followed by your first name. Example: W5KUB Tom or
W5KUB_Tom
Once
a name as been selected and announced, the potential winner will have approximately 2 minutes to
announce their presence
in the chat room.. We will use the time stamp
in the chat room to determine the time. If the potential winner does not
respond within 2 minutes, we will select another name and will give the next person
approximately 2 minutes
to announce their presence in the chat room. We will use QRZ.com to obtain
your mailing address. If this information is not up to date, please update
QRZ. If the winner is not a ham, please contact W5KUB at
WA5KUB@gmail.com to provide full name,
address, phone number, prize won, and date/time. W5KUB is only responsible to pass the
winning names to the sponsors. It is solely up to the sponsors to provide and ship
the prizes. W5KUB cannot guarantee that any prizes will be sent. It is the
total responsibility of the prize donors to fullfill their offer. NOTE: You do not have to be present to win the Grand Prize.
