Note:  If you do not have Java set for auto start then the chat room won't come up. Some people don't have Java turned on
for autostart for security reasons.

IF you have received your registeration code in email go to the bottom of this page and enter it to complete your registeration.  If you are having trouble creating an account read "Create new user account instructions below.

Create New User Account Instructions

If you created a User Name from a previous broadcast, there is no need to create a new User Name.  If you do not remember the password, click "Recover lost password" from the 'Sign In' screen.  If this is your first time to create a User Account, please follow the instructions below.

Step 1.   On the 'Sign In' screen, click on 'Create a new user account'.

Step 2.  You will see the 'Register User Account' screen below.  Enter a User Name you would like to register (such as W5ABC, W5ABC-John, John Doe, etc.), a valid email address, a password in both fields, and then click "Continue".

Step 3.  You will now see the 'Verify User Account' screen below.  Open another browser window to check your email account which you used to register.  You should see a message from w5kub.chatroom@gmail.com that will contain the 5-digit verification code (see Sample Email Message).  If you don't see the message in your Inbox, check your spam folder.

 Step 4.  Type in your User Name and the verification code in the Verification Code field and then click "Continue".

If you no longer see the Verify User Account screen, return to the 'Sign In' screen, click on 'Create a New User Account', and then click on 'Already Registered, Click here to verify your account'.  This will give you the screen to input your verification code.

Step 5. You have successfully completed your new account and you will see the screen below. Sign in with your User Name and Password (not verification code) to enter the chat room.  Please be sure to type in your User name exactly the way you registered it.  If registered correctly, there should be a green icon beside your name.

To retrieve a lost password, click on "Recover lost password".

Help completing your user name registration

After you attempted to create a new account, a message was sent to the email address which you used to register.  The message contained a 5 digit verification code which is needed to complete your registration.

  1. manually write down the code and key it into the verification code field

  2. use the copy feature (right click) or Control C, and then use Control V to paste into the verification code field

 

 

The next time you log in you should have a green man icon by your name indicating that you are fully registered.
